For manufacturers, well or city water is inadequate from a quality or quantity perspective.  Source water purification is the reduction or removal of total dissolved solids commonly found in city or well water intended as a source for use for industrial applications.  Some applications include, metal plating, metal finishing, surface preparation, can manufacturing, electronics manufacturing, aerospace cleaning and even hydroponics agriculture.

ROKON Reverse Osmosis System or our REKON Ion Exchange System is used independently or in succession to purify source well or city water supply.  Reverse osmosis uses membrane technology to filter out dissolved solids, while ion exchange uses resins to purify water. The result is purified water meeting the parameters for use in your industrial process.

Below is how industrial source water purification and wastewater treatment is used with our ROKON Reverse Osmosis and REKON Ion Exchange Systems.

  • Application: ROKON is used when feed, well, or city water conductivity is above 500 ppm of dissolved solids.

  • Application: REKON Ion Exchange Systems are utilized when feed, well or city water conductivity is below 500 ppm of dissolved solids.
  • Our REKON Ion Exchange Systems can be used to purify well, city source water or untreated wastewater, producing high-quality deionized water for recycling. 
  • Our conservative design results in 100% feed water recovery, with regeneration wastes accounting for 5% of the total volume recovered, thereby achieving a net recovery of 95%.
