A vacuum evaporator is used to further distill water from the REKON system.  Distillation occurs in a vacuum which reduces the amount of energy required to recover the wastewater.  The process separates solids from liquids.<\/p> <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

\n \n <\/i> CONREC Liquid Crystallizer <\/a>\n <\/h4>\n <\/div>\n

Solids from the vacuum evaporator is sent to the CONREC liquid crystallizer for drying.  The drying process reduces the moisture further from the solids lowering the overall weight of the solid waste.  The solid waste is then hauled away for disposal.  This is the final step in zero liquid discharge.<\/p>
